Boys Lacrosse
Commissioner: Steve Poirier - spoirier@linvatec.com
Boys lacrosse is a Spring sport aimed at having fun while
learning the lacrosse skills needed to eventually compete at the high school
level. WBYA competes in the Chester County Lacrosse Association league. This
league consists of teams from other school districts in close proximity to West
Bradford. We play ½ of our games at home and ½ away. WBYA usually fields an A
team and a B team at each age level. This allows the kids to play at a skill
level that is comfortable for them. Most of the teams practice two times a week
with games played on a weeknight and/or a weekend. With the exception of the
U-9 level, players are responsible for supplying their equipment. This
includes: stick, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, helmet, and mouth guard.
WBYA has a limited amount of helmets for rent. The U-9 level is required to
provide a stick, and a mouth guard.
The divisions are as follows:
U-9 Must be under the age of 9 by Jan 1 of current
season.
U-11 Must be under the age of 11 by Jan 1 of current
season.
U-13 Must be under the age of 13 by Jan 1 of current
season.
Coaches are always needed, even if they have no
lacrosse experience!!
